You will probably have heard of folktales or traditional stories. They are usually about real life events or imaginary creatures who live in nature. But they are not all that folklore is about.
Folklore encompases all the traditional beliefs, customs, tales, dances and sayings of a group of people. It’s passed down through generations and is often handed down orally.
I hope you enjoy this third mini digital scrapbook, this time all about sheep. They are beautiful and intelligent animals that have been part of human life for thousands of years.
Feel free to use any of the images or information as inspiration for creating. And, please, share with me if you do. Or, enjoy the photos with a cup of tea.
If you scroll through my posts, you’ll see that I enjoy art. I am not an artist by any means. I’m actually not great at it. But that doesn’t matter.
We’ve been taught to see art as a finished project, when the reality is much more complex than that.
Art is all about the process. And that makes art an incredible tool when it comes to mental health.
Another photo mini digital scrapbook. I really like these. As with the previous one dedicated to daffodils, these are a simple way to appreciate the little things.
Feel free to use them as inspiration for creating something if you feel inspired to. Otherwise, just enjoy the photos themselves.
Hope you enjoy this free digikit all about Spring reading. Lots of flowers, lots of books, and lots of images and text for you to use in your creative endeavours.
These can be used for traditional journal, junk journaling, art journaling, bullet journaling, planners, mixed media, collage, and anything else you can think of! Make sure to share your creations with me either by sending me an email or tagging me on instagram @embersonthehearth
I’ve been dressing using a capsule wardrobe for almost a decade now. I don’t think I even knew what a capsule wardrobe was at the time to be honest. I just new I wanted to have less clothes and a wardrobe that was easier to get dressed with.
I have never got rid of any items or done a declutter. What I did instead was to stop buying! And to use what I already had, but in a more organised way. When I started I had 5 suitcases full of clothes. Right now, I have only 1 and a small bag of shoes. This way of doing it takes longer, but I find it more sustainable and also helps me save money.
These photo collections or mini digital scrapbooks are meant as a way to help everyone slow down and appreciate different aspects of nature and life in general. It could serve as inspiration to create something or just as a 5-minute break while you have a cup of tea.
Sometimes photos will come from stock photograph sources, sometimes they will be mine, and sometimes they will be a combination.
Hope you enjoy this little collection of daffodils.
Cute victorian girls, books, cupcakes, and a beautiful shade of forest green. Everything you need for your next book club meeting, plus some tips to help you run the event, some recipe ideas, and a fun bookish game.
If you don’t have a regular book club, you can use these to host a one-off book exchange. Never heard of those before? Don’t worry, you’re not alone, I only came across them a while ago. Book exchange parties are a fantastic way to get new books without having to open up the wallet, something we can all get behind!
